ONEgeneration Honors Local Leaders for Community Service
April 29, 2019, Van Nuys, California–
On April 26th, the Board of Directors of ONEgeneration, which provides intergenerational programming through an adult day care, senior enrichment center and child care center, honored community leaders who have significantly impacted their organization. The honorees included Paul Davis, owner of Paul Davis Insurance; Congressman Brad Sherman representing the 30th Congressional District and Health Net of California, Inc.; and Carole Kim, HealthNet’s Vice President of Community Investments & Government and Public Affairs. The awards banquet and ceremony were held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
Three hundred guests attended in support of the intergenerational programs of ONEgeneration and to recognize the honorees. “We are fortunate to be able to recognize three outstanding honorees this year. Paul Davis has been an important and longtime supporter of the agency, Congressman Sherman is a tireless advocate for services addressing senior health and well-being, and Health Net is well-known for their tremendous community support,” said Jeff Friedman, chairman of the Board of Directors.
Eva Goetz, president, and chief executive officer of ONEgeneration commented, “Community support is vital to continuing to serve a vulnerable senior population. Last year alone, almost 300 seniors attended daily enrichment programs at two of our facilities in the Valley. We served more than 200 hot meals each week and delivered an additional 300 hot meals to homebound older adults.”
