Normally, we are here to tell you where to go out and about. Things are changing very quickly due to Covid-19 spreading throughout the United States. Communities are coming together by staying apart to change the trajectory of this virus’s spread.

With older people at the highest risk of infection and complications, we’re cautioning our readers against going out in public. This week and going forward we will be offering up ways to connect with other people in ways that don’t expose you to the public.

To celebrate the new year – 2020 – The American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) Los Angeles Retirement Group is presenting a two-part workshop on six vital issues to those preparing to retire or newly retired. The workshops will meet the first two Saturdays of the year, January 4 and 11, from 9:00 am to Noon. Note the early start time. We have a lot to cover. As usual we will be meeting at the Skirball Center.

January 4, we will have experts to discuss:

  • Healthy Eating, Exercise and Medication Management – Staying Fit to Enjoy Life
  • Estate Planning – Doing It Right and Avoiding Probate

January 11, we will have experts to discuss:

  • Social Security and Making Your Money Last as Long as You Do
  • Medicare and Health Insurance – Get the Right Plan to Stay Healthy
